John McLucas is a pop producer, mixer, content creator, and silly goose based out of Portland and Los Angeles. His intricate approach to vocal production, infectious grooves, and sweet sweet ear candy make him irresistible to artists, brands, and peers alike.
John’s philosophy is centered on connecting creatively, emotionally, and human-ly. While he prefers to work in the same room as his clients, he has spent years adapting the creative flow to crush it remotely. He believes in turning every stone musically, because “You’re Only One Song Away…”. Whether you’re in Australia or Orange County, John can walk with you through the process and make something, as he texted us … “iconic af”.
Working with artists like P.S., Rishi, Louise, Jack Rourke, Audrey Callahan, and brands like Splice, Slate Digital, Produce Like A Pro, Pro Mix Academy, and SSL, John is rapidly building an impressive empire and will soon be a household name.
Before his career in pop, he spent years touring as a rock and metal drummer, opening for the likes of TOOL, Primus, and Coheed & Cambria.
John’s goal is to honor the stories he helps tell so you can walk away with a song you’ll treasure for the rest of your life. He sees it a lot like raising a child, which truly takes a village.
